What's Wrong With Me!

My name is Ryan and i'm living in Ajax. I'm a nice, young handsome man that is doing good in school and is going to college soon.
The question I want to ask is why do some people tend to be so uncomfortable, nervous or even scared of me?
Whenever I'm talking to someone or if i'm helping people, they either leave, complain or in some cases, tell me to stay away from them.
I'm not doing anything to anyone...besides I'm smart, funny, talented, kind, cute-looking, hard-working and quiet, but sometimes i feel awkward, bored, lonely, unusual and somewhat miserable, not to mention i feel less emotional to the point that I kinda feel less happy.
Sure I have a few problems fitting in, but what I don't understand is why?
I know this is kind of long, but what's the best advice you can give me, especially when I'm getting a girl?
MR. GOODADVICE RESPONDS:
You seem to have a lot of good things going for you Ryan. You are young,
smart, handsome, funny and most importantly kind. These are all good qualities and you need to be thankful that you are blessed with them. I find that it is very easy to focus on our faults rather than our gifts. Trust me, you are not the only one in this world looking at the negatives in your life.
I am not certain why people are reacting to you in the way you describe. My gut feeling is that you are dealing with some self-esteem issues and this may be affecting how you deal with other people. Low self-esteem can result in trying too hard to be accepted by others. You probably need to take a step back and just learn to love yourself a little more. When you are comfortable with yourself, your relationships with others will almost certainly improve.
People are attracted to people who believe in themselves. Believe in yourself Ryan and the rest will fall into place. You appear to be on the right track in life, so congratulate yourself for what you have done so far. Stop worrying about what others think and keep making yourself into something great. You will see that people will be drawn to you as you build on the foundation you have started.
As far as being lonely is concerned you need to understand that emotions are part of life. It's okay to be lonely and you need to let those moments come and go. Tell yourself, "okay I'm lonely today and that's ok because it will pass".
I have a must read for you, it's called "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life", by Wayne Dyer. Give it a look and let me know what you thought.
